KIRIUROCO's art
Born in Tokyo.
The name of "KIRIUROCO" was formed with her parents' family emblems, that are called "Kamon" in Japanese. She combined "Gosan-ni-Kiri": paulownia flower pattern of her father's, and "Maru-ni-Mitsu-Uroco":three fish scales of her mother's together.
In her childhood, she had interests on drawing and writing letters, and she kept taking lessons of Shodo, Japanese calligraphy, for 13 years which became her basic skill and experience.
In 2004, after she graduated from Sugino Dressmaker College, she started wall painting and live painting in Tokyo.
In 2008, she won a first prize of "Artcompe X", and that brought her a chance to have an exhibition in Brooklyn, NY, which she did in 2009.
The art of KIRIUROCO is spontaneous. It comes down from her deep instinct, not from her plans or finishing conception. Its beauty stands naturally, and touches your deep inner sense directly. In Japan and now in overseas, KIRIUROCO's works are loved by people of all ages and countries.
KIRIUROCO / 桐鱗 / キリウロコ
東京都出身。
幼い頃から絵や文字に親しみ、13年間学んでいた書道で筆の心地よさを覚える。
2004年杉野学園ドレスメーカー学院を卒業後、桐鱗（キリウロコ）の名前で活動開始。
東京を拠点にし、壁画など大型作品の制作に力をそそぐ。
2008年『Artcompe X 』でグランプリを受賞し、副賞として翌2009年にNYのBrooklynで展示を開催。
個展やグループ展を行いながら、2010年『Affordable Art Fair in Sydney』、
2011年『Handmade Korea Fair 2011』に参加など、精力的に活動の場を広げる。
ダイナミックかつ繊細な線での表現を得意とし、墨を使ったライブパフォーマンスでは
モノクロ世界をパワフルに描きだす。
自然に身をまかせて生まれてくる絵は、人間の本能に訴えかけるものがあり、
年齢・性別・職業・国籍など、あらゆる垣根を越えて楽しむことができる。
「桐鱗」という名前は、父方の家紋”五三に桐”と、母方の家紋”丸に三つ鱗”から来ている。
